This is the most widely taken version of the TOEFL. It measures English language proficiency for academic purposes and assesses four key skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. It is administered via the internet at designated test centers with secure testing conditions.
This version is used by institutions (schools, colleges, and universities) for internal assessment and placement purposes. It is not suitable for admission to universities, and scores from ITP are not valid for visa applications.
Designed for younger learners (ages 11 to 15), the TOEFL Junior assesses English proficiency in a way appropriate for middle-school-aged students. It evaluates Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Language Form and Meaning.
This is a combined program that accepts IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores in place of TOEFL scores for admission to some institutions. It is not a separate test but rather an option provided by some institutions that accept IELTS scores in lieu of TOEFL.
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized test designed to assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers. It is widely accepted by English-speaking academic and professional institutions around the world as a measure of an individual’s ability to understand and use English at the university level. The TOEFL test is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
